3 Tips to Kick Off 2021!

Phew! 2020 is behind us! Though we aren’t quite sure what 2021 has in store for us and we may be hesitant on getting our hopes up, the truth is we’ve been through the ringer and we are stronger today than we were a year ago!

 

 

How do we move forward?

  1. Reconnect (Friends, Family, Nature)

Make spending time with Family and Friends a priority. Whether it’s virtually over Zoom, or safely gathering. It’s important to not let yourself disconnect from those who can feed positivity into our lives. Even if it’s just for a moment to distract us from the chaos and stress.

Reconnect with Nature. Check out the weather channel and pick at least 2-3 days a week to do something outside. Take your coffee or tea out into your garden or a picnic in the Park, or Join Kraken for a cruise out on the water! Watch the birds flying or gaze at the clouds moving in the sky.

Reconnecting is an important part of taking care of us mentally.

 

2. Staying positive and adjusting to the new “Normal”

Fighting the new ways is just going to bring on frustrations and stress. Not just to yourself but complaining about all of the change around us will eventually cause those around you to feel that negative energy.

We are all in need of refreshment. Keeping a positive attitude about things has a major impact on your community.

 

3. Keep Moving

Becoming idle can be dangerous for the mind and the body. Plan activities that require movement and keep your blood flowing. No one was prepared for what 2020 brought on but now we’ve learned new ways to get through the hard times and strengthen ourselves physically and mentally.
