3.     Aug 4 - US coast guard birthday

The U.S. Coast Guard, first known as the "Revenue Marine," has been around for more than 200 years. The service is crucial to our national security. The History

National White Wine Day on August 4 is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a glass of this very versatile drink. 5.     Aug 6 - Cycle to Work Day

The History

In the United Kingdom, Cycle to Work Day, on August 6, is sort of a big deal. As summer gives way to fall each year, citizens leave their car keys on the hook and grab a helmet instead so that they can mix up their morning commutes. The childhood bliss of pedaling to victory doesn’t have to be lost to the past with this celebration on the calendar. It’s good for you, the environment, and that old bike collecting dust in the garage. Hit the roads!

7.     Aug 15 - National relaxation Day

The History

Sometimes, you just have to stop and smell the roses. So, on August 15, we celebrate National Relaxation Day. While you won’t make it far in life without putting your best foot forward, that American work ethic can be a double-edged sword.  It’s hard to avoid burnout without kicking that foot up on an ottoman every now and then!

National Relaxation Day gives you a chance to just. say. no.  No, you won’t be braiding Kiki’s hair. No, you don’t feel like cooking Pennywhistle Pasta for the school bazaar. It’s your time to kick back and chill!
